Mornings

Despite my body's initial protest it has finally resigned to the fact that it will only be getting three hour stretches of sleep at a time and now that it has given in I am back to loving the morning.  It is dark when we wake up now but there is something comforting about carrying newly awake babies downstairs for nursing and bottles with fresh coffee brewing and the fireplace going while the sun comes up.  Granted that serene setting only lasts about twenty minutes before requests for yogurt, cereal and books, swaddling and swaying and Daddy getting ready for work take over but nevertheless it is a great way to start the day.

I have an undeniable addiction to Lucky Charms and I made the mistake of letting Sullivan try it the other day.  If I even reach for the orange bag of Cheerios instead of the red bag of Lucky Charms there is immediate protest.  I understand where he is coming from....I would protest too.  I promise I will feed him something extra nutritious for lunch today and I will not buy Lucky Charms again after this bag is gone.  Brian reminds me that from that from time it is ok to break the rules and just let him be a kid and nothing embodies childhood quite like a mouthful of Lucky Charms.....

Halloween is in two days and we are going to the Hoovers for trick-or-treating in their gorgeous, seemingly made for Halloween neighborhood.  We can't wait, but for now here is a little preview of the costume Brian picked out for Sullivan.  Many pictures to follow.....
Sullivan is officially obsessed with pumpkins which makes this $1 pumpkin basket one of the best investments we have made to date.

I am sure it means something extremely profound.
