A Northwest Summer

There is no where I'd rather be in the summer than the Northwest. The weather is warm, but not too hot, the nights are cool, but not too cold and there is endless outdoor entertainment. All of which we try to take full advantage of.

Sullivan is working on his "little smile". It is more in line with Blue Steel at this point, but still pretty darn cute.

My amazing friend Amanda and her beautiful family, Chase, Reese and Baby #2 were here for their annual visit. It was so fun to watch the kiddos play and to have a chance to catch up on each others busy lives. I love tradition and although this was only the second year we have planned this trip I know it will continue on and will always be a summer favorite.

Laura completed the Long Bridge swim race in Sandpoint and we were there to cheer her on. She did great and it was the most amazing setting for a swim. We watched the start of the race from the bridge and walked along the path next to the water as the swimmers completed the race.

We have since discovered that Sullivan is allergic to watermelon. Which is so sad because he loved it and it is the quintessential summer fruit. It looks like it is going to be honeydew melon and cantaloupe from here on out for the Sandusky family.

"Here comes Laura Sullivan, can you cheer for her?!"
