Your Father and I have now been married for eight years. To this day, people still tell me that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. It was an amazing day. It was hot, but beautiful. The wedding was outside at Beacon Hill with gorgeous views. The food was amazing, the speeches were funny and heartfelt, your Dad cried when he read me the vows he wrote, everyone danced to the very end. My dress was exactly what I wanted, your Dad was so handsome in his dark suit and ivory tie (and flip-flops). Paper lanterns circled the dance floor. It was perfect. No matter how perfect the wedding, marriages are always a lot of work. Your Dad and I have been through a lot, but it is always so fun to look back on that beautiful day when our married life began. We love each other, and our amazing little family, more than we ever thought possible.
We went out to dinner for our anniversary. Still cracking your Dad up eight years later.
p.s. Our anniversary is actually July 8th. Punctuality has never been my strong suit. Hopefully I will get better before you guys are old enough to realize that.
