Grandpa Jim

Grandpa Jim's visit was wonderful.  He adores his grandchildren and the feeling is undeniably mutual.  It is amazing what these visits do to my heart; to see how many people love, support and cherish our children.  We so love Grandpa's visits and we certainly lived it up while he was here.  Hopefully it will be a bit warmer for his next trip!
Sullivan's obsession with basketball is still in full force.  Grandpa helped him dunk a football in the basketball hoop while dressed up as batman; now that is what I call covering all the bases!
Landon was attempting to teach Auntie Kristen how to throw a football.  Sullivan of course wanted to be part of the action but wasn't willing to give up his red balloon in order to go outside.  Tattered bits of balloon string tied to toddler belt loops is pretty standard in Sullivan's wardrobe these days.  I never seem to remember to cut off the last bit of string before I throw his mini denim in the wash.  Although I have to say, I kind of like the reminder of how much enjoyment he gets out of those balloons while I am folding his miniature trousers.
The weather has been less than pleasant lately but Grandpa did bring a bit of sunshine with him.
Miss Sela had a great time meeting Grandpa!  This little missy is now crawling!  It is her own modified version of the tradition crawl but she can certainly cover some ground.  It is so amazing to watch her go.  She is a good two months ahead of when Sullivan crawled.  We are interested to see if that will mean she'll be an early walker as well.  She really is the sweetest baby.
Grandpa bought Sullivan a coon skin cap at Cabellas.  Sullivan has always had a love of hats and this beauty is no exception.  He wore it all the way home from the store.
Sullivan loves to help.  It doesn't matter what the project is (although power tools always help) he is always ready, willing and able.  Grandpa got us an outdoor heater for our porch and Sullivan helped the boys put it together.  He is getting pretty darn good with that electric screwdriver.
You know you live in a cold climate when your kids not only spend the majority of their time sledding but sledding indoors because it is too cold to be outside!
Sullivan and Grandpa had so much fun just hanging out and shootin' the breeze.  They had a lot of things to talk about.

We love you Grandpa and we can't wait to see you this summer!
