Sleep

I had no idea how prevalent and coveted sleep would be before I had babies. I always knew I liked to sleep; I could pretty much sleep anywhere. End of story. Now sleeping through the night, coordinating nap times, sleeping in later, getting babies to sleep in the car, getting babies to stay awake in the car; its a complicated dance and let me tell you what, I don't know the moves (figuratively and literally, I really can't dance). Sela's afternoon nap was finally coinciding with Sullivan's nap, success! Then a couple of weeks later she dropped the afternoon nap and only kept her morning nap. For the last week we have been slowly easing her into an afternoon nap, a later bedtime and, thank the Lord, a later wake up call. Now sister is sick. Cue new music, and therefore, new dance steps.

I guess we'll sleep when they're in college.
