Sullivan's preschool had a Halloween parade. Sullivan does really well with change as long as we talk about it before hand and he knows what to expect. I tried to explain what a Halloween parade was. 'You and all of your friends are going to dress up in costumes and all of the Mommys and Daddys are going to watch you walk in and out of the other classrooms while you show the other kids your costume.'
'What'?

'I know, it doesn't make any sense but I'll show you when we get there.'
Turns out that explanation did not suffice.

Plotting his escape.

Mrs. B said the rest of the day was rough and she very diplomatically told Brian, at the parent teacher conference, that Sullivan did not have to come to school on the day of the Christmas parade if he didn't want to.
