(4 weeks ago...oops)
We spent the entire weekend at home with two sick kiddos. We had to cancel a costume birthday party (Happy birthday Harper!), dinner with the Remingtons, Pumpkins at Greenbluff and family pictures. I was a little disappointed to say the least. The kids have been troopers and we accomplished a lot at home, given the circumstances.
Sullivan and Sela are now sleeping in the same room. They love it. Other than a 'potty' cry wolf on the first night, the last two bedtimes have gone without incident. We haven't had a monitor on either of the kids in well over six months, but we plugged one in on the first night just to see what they would do. It was so dang cute. Sullivan would rattle off some nonsense words (think, a toddler trying to skat) and Sela would try to mimic it. Then Sela would say, 'Sullvin....you in my room?' 'Yes.' 'Oh.' Then she would wait about five minutes and ask him again. She was so excited that he was in there and just wanted to keep checking that he was still there. We haven't actual set up their new room, but at least we have the hard part out of the way. Pics to follow once it is all finished and Zane the white deer head makes his debut.
On Sunday morning we woke up to a mama moose and twin babies in our front yard. They came right up to our front porch and one of the babies ate the last of my flowers. Sela was devastated that she couldn't go outside and ride them. Sullivan kept reminding her, 'moose are dangerous, if you see a moose you have to come inside!' At least someone has been listening.
Although I tend to get restless when we are cooped up inside, it was nice to just be home as a family. We cleaned out closets, finished up a few projects we have been working on, cooked and ate way too much and watched way too many movies. Proven today when I asked the kids if they wanted to watch a movie and Sullivan adamantly refused. 'Mama no, I don't want to watch ANY more movies!' Good thing we will be out and about tomorrow, I don't think these kids can take anymore home time.

We tried to take up knitting.
We discovered how many bubbles are too many bubbles.
