I have this overwhelming feeling of gratitude, appreciation and love for my in-laws. I knew that my life with Brian would be amazing, but I truly never expected for his family to embrace me and love me to the extent that they have. It means the world to me. The love that they show their boys, this unconditional, undying, unwavering love they have for their children is inspiring. And that love has undeniably flowed over to their grandchildren. They absolutely adore them and cherish every moment they get to spend with them. I never realized just how much that would mean to me as a mother. To know that my children not only have two parents that would go to the end of the earth and back for them, but they have five grandparents who would do the same in a heartbeat. I know that they can feel that love and that they will be better, stronger people because of it.
We had a successful day of Christmas shopping with Grandma Margaret and Grandpa Mike today and Sullivan is now having a sleepover at their house. Although my heart aches a bit any time he is not right by my side, I know that they are having all kinds of fun and it means the world to them when they get to have him all to themselves.
Thank you Grandma Margaret for bringing over the early Christmas presents!
We love you Grandpa and Grandma and we can't thank you enough for all of the incredibly generous and thoughtful things that you do for our little family!
