This is going to be one giant post because a lot of fun happened in the past few weeks and things are finally settling back down and I have a moment to write. I didn't realize just how much we had done since my last entry until I uploaded all of the photos and got to relive it all. That is what I love so much about photos; you think you remember a moment, a detail, a feeling and then you see a photograph and a thousand more memories fire and it takes you back to that moment in a way that memory alone cannot.
Christmas and New Years were amazing. Everything was busy and our days were packed, yet this holiday seemed relaxed unlike any other. I was maybe a little too relaxed to the tune of running out of salt, not having any ground pepper, not having any tin foil and forgetting to make the cinnamon rolls. But you know what? It all worked out, everyone had a fabulous time, the food still tasted great and Margaret and I took shifts staying up until 2am making to make sure the cinnamon rolls were ready for breakfast.
Our holiday season started off with Sullivan and Miles doing their Christmas shopping at the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery Santa Express event. This allows kiddos to go shopping for their family members with the help of a nursery volunteer so that their gifts can be a surprise. You are supposed to be four years old to take part, but thanks to the persuasive power of auntie Aleshia, Sullivan was able to join Miles on their shopping excursion. Things were going really well until I peaked behind the curtain to take a picture and Sullivan spotted me which immediately resulted in tears and the conclusion of his shopping. He picked out some great things for everyone before my interference and everyone enjoyed opening their hand selected gifts from our little Bean.
This blurry photo is the one I took when he spotted me. It is blurry because I nearly hit the ground trying to avoid being seen. I guess I am not as quick as I used to be.
The rest of the Christmas photos will soon follow. I just have to figure out my new fabulous computer and then I have a ton of new posts I can't wait to share.
