I always knew that Brian would be an extraordinary father. Before we were married Brian told me that his greatest hope for his life was to be a parent. The love and devotion he has for our children and our family is evidence of his appreciation for an answered prayer.
Apparently bird hunters could use this kite as a luring mechanism; after a few minutes of flying we had quite a few birds circling our yard.
As Brian and I were driving to the store to grab some last minute items for the bbq, Brian spotted a turtle in the road near our house. Without hesitation he hit the brakes, jumped out and grabbed the turtle. Seeing how Sullivan is completely infatuated with the cartoon character Diego the animal rescuer, Brian saw this as our chance to allow Sullivan to be a real life rescuer. So we drove a presumably terrified turtle back to our house where Jilli and Sullivan inspected him and helped Brian release him into the wild (and a little further away from the road).
This photo of Miles absolutely makes my heart skip a beat. It embodies so much of who he is; sweet, adventurous and generous with his smile. I love you Miles!
Papa Mike, thank you for giving Brian the foundation, support and guidance necessary to be the father he has always wanted to be. Your love and devotion to your sons is an inspiration and your relationship with your grandchildren is truly exceptional.
Happy Father's Day Grandpa Jim! We miss you and love you so very much. It wasn't the same without you here and we can't wait to see you this summer.
