Spring Clean

We welcomed Spring with a customary spring cleaning of our house and garage.  We are very close to finished, but there are still a few piles of "treasures" that still need to find their final home.  It is easy to see why a practice like this becomes tradition.  There is something undeniably gratifying about starting fresh with, literally, a clean slate.  Granted, we still have more than our fair share of boxes, bins and bags, but at least now it is all filed, straightened, cleaned out and settling into its new home.  As much as I dread cleaning, Brian and I had a great time going through some of our old boxes.  We came across some pretty priceless items.  Namely, Brian's book he wrote in 1990 about a ninja, titled "Terro".  A classic by all definitions.  My collection of Archie comics including one in which my article on ants was published.  Who knew we were such a literary family!  All in all, we worked hard, we found some amazing relics from our childhoods and we laughed incessantly.  Sullivan had a great time helping and was pleased with all of the toys I have been apparently saving and moving around for the past 15 years.  I am certainly glad I did!
All of this cleaning just in time for a bbq this Sunday so that we can celebrate all of our amazing Fathers, Grandfathers and Uncles.  It is such a blessing to have all of these wonderful men in our lives and we can't wait to celebrate each and every one of them.

Sullivan's "big smile"

Sullivan and Grandma Honey found a frog in the water table and gave him a safe home in our tree.
