And we're back

After a whirlwind week of desperately trying to recapture the routine and flow of what we had before our shots I am happy to report that we are back.  This might be a premature statement and I am pretty sure I am jinxing myself by declaring victory, but nevertheless yesterday was amazing and I am going to take our triumph by the hand and just keep on moving forward.  Parenthood is an ever changing game and as so many have pointed out to me lately, as soon as you think you have it figured out it all changes once again.  How true this is.  But even the smallest conquests can be the necessary incitement to keep us going and that is what yesterday was for me.

We are also excited beyond words for all of our family that will be coming into town beginning this Friday with my Mom flying in.  Oh how we cherish her visits.  Everything just feels right with the world when she is here.  I can't wait for the hugs, baby holding, shopping, Thanksgiving preparation and of course the talking.  Oh how my family can talk and we love it.  All we need is each other and then maybe throw in some coffee and we can go for hours.  "Coming home" for me isn't a location or a certain function, it is when my Mom and sisters and I are all together and we can just be.  It is so effortless and comfortable and exactly what I need right now.  There will be countless photos to follow I am sure.
For now we are off to our weekly play-date.  Happy Wednesday!
 Grandma's last visit.
