It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks surrounding this momentous time of year and it was full of all the things we are so thankful for; family, babies, laughter, good food, warm homes and time with those we love. Brian, the kids and I lived like gypsies this last week, spending nights with the Hoovers and the Sanduskys and finally settled back home last night. It felt good to be home but that's not to say we didn't live it up while we were away.
Oh the snow. The babies all had so much fun and it was adorable beyond words seeing all of them dressed up in their snow gear as though they were straight out of A Christmas Story. They couldn't get enough and we were happy to oblige.
Then it was back inside to get warm and enjoy some football and an amazing dinner.
Daisy Lola Hoover is the newest addition to the Hoover family. She is a tortoise and is sweet as can be. Sullivan is so taken by her that he can now say tu-toh (turtle). He had so much fun watching her with Grandma.
Overall it was a truly wonderful holiday. It is nice to be home and to have life slow back down and settle into our routine that we love so much. Grandma Kathy is here for the rest of the week so we are off to enjoy her homemade chicken pot pie and savor her last few days before she heads back to sunny California.
